Art of Fire

Our philosophy

ROTA originated from a simple idea: to create a restaurant where fire, enjoyment and hospitality come together.

Inspired by the principles of Feng Shui, the color red became the heart of our concept – and ultimately our name. In many Asian cultures, red symbolizes happiness, joy, prosperity, and celebration. At the same time, red is the color of fire – the flames of our charcoal grill, which are rekindled every day at ROTA and form the centerpiece of our kitchen.

Our cuisine blends Japanese robata and Korean BBQ traditions with a modern touch. This is complemented by creative crossover dishes developed by Chef Hai Pham based on his extensive culinary travels. Inspired by Japan, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, and French cuisine, these dishes combine traditional flavors with modern techniques and international influences.

We also pay special attention to our bar. Together with head bartender Valentin Schwinger, we created a cocktail menu featuring creative signature drinks, classic cocktails, and exceptional original creations. This is complemented by a carefully selected premium collection of sake, shochu, and Asian liqueurs, as well as white and red wines from renowned wine regions around the world – perfectly paired with our cuisine.

We believe that good food and good drinks bring people together. That's why many of our dishes are designed for sharing – for conversations, shared experiences, and unforgettable moments at the table.
